TrestleTree can produce superior health care savings for self-insured employers by changing employees critical health behaviors that drive spending in both medical and pharmacy claims.

Watson Wyatt , an international benefits consultant, conducted an assessment of TrestleTree's disease management program for a corporate client. Results of this study produced several data points that positively impacted TrestleTree's client. Most notable were the following:

  • TrestleTree's program resulted in a 45 % reduction in medical claims during employee's participation in the program.
  • The client realized a 1.5:1 ROI (tracking to 2:1 during the last two quarters of the program year) for the first year of their employees' participation in the program. Watson Wyatt indicated that trends on the data indicated that savings, thus ROI was mounting throughout the year and suggested continued upward movement for the second year.
