When entering Health Coaching, this TrestleTree participant struggled with several nutritional challenges: pasta, bread, fast food and a handful of favorite sweets. He and his Health Coach discussed concrete changes he could make, such as only eating sweets after dinner on odd days of the week to reduce sugar intake. Because he was often on the go, his Health Coach provided a book to help him improve his food choices on the road. Because of commitment to lifestyle changes, he achieved the following results:

  • Total cholesterol decreased from 235 mg/dL to 207mg/dL

  • LDL cholesterol decreased from 147 mg/dL to 135 mg/dL

  • Triglycerides decreased from 163 mg/dL to 120 mg/dL

  • Blood pressure decreased from 139/82 mmHg to 113/75 mmHg

  • Hemoglobin A1c also improved from 5.1% to 4.8%

  • Lost 17 pounds and two inches from his waist

  • BMI improved from 26.8 and to 24.5.

Upon graduation, he was thrilled with his progress and eager to maintain his positive changes!
