In just two health coaching appointments, this TrestleTree participant lost 8 pounds! Her doctor advised her to avoid sugars and carbohydrates as much as possible, however, she wasn’t given detailed guidance on recommended amounts. Her Health Coach provided a more detailed, personalized plan to meet her doctor’s general guidelines and a more in-depth look at healthy nutrition goals. Also, prior to health coaching, she was getting some aerobic exercise by walking at work and had not incorporated any resistance training. Her Health Coach provided an exercise band and some exercises she could do in the comfort of her own home, and she incorporated those exercises into her routine. After only a short time in health coaching, she developed a plan to focus on nutrition and exercise habits to continue losing weight!
